    Best Quiche Ever...
Except that it had no crust because no carbs for me. Other than that...yum!! This diet thing is working out REALLY well for me...I feel good, have not sprluged or indulged in anything bad and I have a ton more energy!! :D YAY ME!

Today at work was a funny day...I got there at 1pm and I was up int he office and everyone up there was like..."OMG it has been SO slow, you'll be sent home in an hour, two at the most." I was thinking two things:
    1) Oh man, if I get sent home...then that means less money
    however
2)If I get sent home...I can take a nap and eat more quiche!

So as you can see, quite the dilemma! I was scheduled to work until 7 but they let me go at 6 because it ended up being crazy busy for a couple of hours and then it died again.

One of my favorite old prof's came through today and was very sweet in between two very rude customers...after the woman in front of him yelled at me for being too perky he came to my aid and said in a very british way "I think that Jenny is very charming and you shouldn't yell at her!" The woman walked off in a huff and then I served him and chatted for a bit and whne he left the woman behind him grumbled at me for being too chatty with him. ARGH!
    *SIGH*

Anyhoo, tonight Ashley is working till 11 and tomorrow we are going to see *duh duh duh* THE DAVINCI CODE!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
You see I am very exited to see it even though I have heard not such great revues...ah well. Ashley was very sweet and when I came home the house was cleaned and it smelled good. I think I will walk to meet her at work tonight because I love her and she cleaned. Also maybe she bought wine because I asked her too. :D

I guess I'm done yammering for now...It freaks me out when Bonnie and Claire have not written anything for a while...where are you ladies?? is it a holiday for you tomorrow as well??

P.S My cat, the big one not the little one...just squeaked....

    Waiting
I keep going out to check the mail because I am waiting for packages!! :D I ordered some books online and although I hesitate to tell you which books I ordered out of sheer embarassment, I am exited for thier arrival.
Okay...so from the time I was quite young I have enjoyed reading "Little House on the Prairie" books. I have the whole series even (although I lost Farmer Boy a few years ago and have never found it again and thus it is one of the ones I've ordered)and tend to re-read them in times of stress/school ending/needing comforting. So this has been the way the majority of my summers of Christmas breaks have begun since I was probably 9. Recently I have completed my collection with the few obscure books of the series including Little Town on the Prairie and These Happy Golden Years and haev read the series in its entirety probably 10 times (the rest of the times I have read what I had in Chronological order...ovsiously skipping over some milstones such as Mary's blindness and Baby Grace being born)Well a few years ago...I think probably 3 years ago, I went to the public library and found a new series about Laura's mother, Caroline. I WAS HOOKED!!! I loved the series and although they only had 3 out of the 6 titles, I couldn't find these books anywhere. So i did what any normal obsessed indivudal does...I stole them from the library. Actually I just checked them out and never returned them so they are VERY VERY late...lol Then the other day I found the remaining three books online and so I ordered them and now I am just waiting for them to be delivered. :D

So this entry tells you three things that are very important about me:
    1) I get what I want by any means necessary.
    2) I am not morally against stealing childrens books from a Public Library so that thousands of other children will never have the chance to enjoy these books as much as i have
3)I believe in traditional things such as making Johnny cake, feeding the men who come and work on your farm and sewing samplers to show at the State Fair.

Also you should all know that I am trying the South Beach Diet. it is a no carbs for two weeks diet and you are expected to lose more than 14 pounds in the first two weeks. Today has been good, I did my yoga, went for a walk have drank all my water and eaten no carbs. :D YAY JENNY!

Pushy People Pretending to be People Pleasers....
As my last entry stated, I work in the customer service industry and therefore have a lot of stories about pushy people (both customers AND co-workers)with whom I work. I find this a lot in the service industry and one such example stems from the other day when my mum and I went into a wine shop to look around the crazy wine selling woman (who I'm sure must have worked on commission...) kept trying to get us to sample more and more wine. Now I hear you all saying "What is wrong with that? FREE WINE!!" But alas, it made me uncomfortable and we left without buying a thing and the woman calling after us..."Please come back soon!!!!!!!!!"
So are there pushy people in other industries? I know Jehovah's Witnesses can get pushy, so much in fact that my nana and grandad put a sign on thier door saying "NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES PLEASE." (I guess they were having a problem...)Well one day after my grandad went to work, my nana was in the shower and a heard a knock on the door. She ran downstairs in a towel (assuming it was someone important or a delivery person or something...afterall what Jehovah's witness would DARE defy that sign??!!) and whne she opened the door it was a Jehovah's Witness who asked in shock and horror... "Did you know that you have this sign on your door??????" My nana panicked and invited them in to tea (she's British) and they left her with a ton of pamphelts and a feeling of disbelief.
So...do any of you have good pushy people trying to be people pleaser stories??
    I can't wait!

    owee...
    Hi!

I added Bonnie and Claire to my friend;s list because Ashley said they are super nice girls who live in a pretty little house in England. :D
You don't have to add me in return and I can just live vicariously through Ashley and her posts, but I woudl love it if you added me.

I have to go to work at our local gorcery store today but I am not feel super well and therefore am not looking forward to standing for 6 hours and dealing with customers who say "Did you know your interec macahines are hard to see?" or "I just came in here for milk but ended up getting bread, cheese, eggs, granola, sausage and peas...frozen not fresh." They tell me this as if I care...which I don't because I would have made a list and not have spent money on frozen peas!!! Arghh...my tummy hurts.

As for my previous post on weight loss...no weight loss yet. lol I'll probably really start that tomorrow after my beer with Cat. My friend Cat and her gf have been toegther for 5 years and her gf just came out to her mom and apparently it didn't go so well. :(
Ah well..We'll talk ti out tomorrow.

    Weight Loss
So here I am. On Live Journal. A place I swore I'd never be because my gf is glued to it...however now that I am here perhaps there will be incentive for me to lose some weight and get some good feedback from those of you who are in the process or who have have finished the porcess of losing weight. I am 215 pounds and although I don't look quite that heavy, I feel more heavy than that. Recently I have detested having my picture taken and therefore have caused some conflicts within my realtionship. (She likes to take lots of pictures and most of them I delete.) I love clothes and they too recetly have turned against me. I feel like lesbians have it hardest of all. *sigh* we are too sweet and loving that there is rarely the moment when your partner looks at you and you can tell she's thinking. "You got fat. I don't know when it happened, somewhere between that Iced Cappaucino and and that bag of chips, you got fat."
    So what to do?
Well I'm sure a lot fo you are saying "Get off your fat ass and go for a run." Easier said than done but I'll keep you posted. Does anyone have any special things they have tried? I am an instant gratification kinda girl...perhaps someone who would liek to challenege me in a weight loss off?? lol Let me know.
    Cheers!
    Jenny
